What is christian porter?

Christian Porter was an Australian politician and barrister. He served as the Member of Parliament for Pearce from 2013 to 2022.

Porter held several senior ministerial portfolios during his time in government, including:

• Attorney-General: He served as the Attorney-General of Australia from 2017 to 2021.
• Minister for Industrial Relations: He also held this portfolio concurrently with his Attorney-General role.
• Minister for Social Services: Prior to becoming Attorney-General, he was the Minister for Social Services.

Before entering federal politics, Porter served in the Western Australian Parliament, including as Attorney-General of Western Australia.

Porter resigned from Parliament in 2022 after a period of controversy and scrutiny, including allegations of historical rape, which he vehemently denied. He later withdrew a defamation case he had initiated against the ABC over their reporting of the allegations. After politics, Porter returned to a career in law.
